Adam Francois, shown above with his wife Cindy and his sons Drew and Grant.

Professional
Dr. Francois is a graduate of Oregon Health Sciences University, School of Dentistry (1995). He received his undergraduate degree in Biology with a concentration in Physiology and Anatomy from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (1991). He has extensively studied communication, cosmetic dentistry, and surgical and reconstructive aspects of implants. He maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry (where he has attained Fellowship status), Oregon Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and Washington County Dental Society (in which he is a past president). Dr. Francois is experienced and committed to achieving excellence in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He is constantly evaluating the latest techniques and dental materials to provide you with the highest quality of dental care available today.

Personal
Dr. Francois opened Sherwood Dental Care in 1996 after deciding it looked like a nice community in which to start a practice and a family. In his spare time, Dr. Francois enjoys hiking, fishing, skiing, golfing, the outdoors, woodworking, and spending time with his wife, Cindy, and their two boys, Drew and Grant (not necessarily in that order, we hope)! Since sleeping on the ground, toilets that don’t flush and biting insects are not Cindy’s idea of a good time, he has big plans for his two boys. Dr. Francois has been competing in half marathons and triathlons.

Heather's interest in dental hygiene was sparked by her childhood dental hygienist and dentist. Knowing she wanted to work in the healthcare field, she researched and found that dental hygiene provided the perfect opportunity to work directly with people on improving their oral health while maintaining flexibility for family life. While in college, she worked as a roving dental assistant learning all aspects of a dental practice. She graduated from Portland Community College in 1998 with a degree in Dental Hygiene and has worked at our office ever since. She is licensed with the Oregon Board of Dentistry and also has endorsements to administer local anesthesia, place sealants and a permit to administer nitrous oxide. Heather is regularly complimented by her clients for gentle and thorough oral hygiene care.

Personal
Heather's passion is for her family. She and her husband, a firefighter/paramedic, are both natives of the Northwest and enjoy its versatility. They enjoy hiking and camping in the mountains, sunsets at the beach and relaxing around town with friends and family. Needless to say, they are here to stay. They have an amazing son and a daughter on the way! We're sure you'll enjoy Heather as much as we do! We plan to keep her on board as long as she wants.

Peggy has worked in the dental field for about 20 years. She began as a dental assistant after graduating from a dental assisting program at Portland Community College in 1982. After working in many different types of offices including General, Endodontics, Periodontics, and Oral Surgery. She decided to go back to college to earn her degree in Dental Hygiene and graduated from Portland Community College's Hygiene program in 1998. Upon graduation, she was presented with the annual "Professional Achievement" award given by the Oregon Dental Hygienists Association. Peggy is licensed in the state of Oregon with the Oregon Board of Dentistry as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She holds certificates in administration of local anesthetic, nitrous oxide, CPR, and sealant application. She has been with us since 1999.

Personal
Peggy has been married to her husband, Evan, for over 15 years. They grew up in Oregon and have spent most of their lives here. Believe it or not, Peggy is a Sherwood native. They spread their wings for a short time, though, and moved to Chico, California for about 2 years, but moved back in 1992 to stay. Although Peggy loves the Oregon summers, she dreams of Chico from November thru April. We all try hard to keep Peggy happy so she will stay here in Oregon. Her bubbly personality uplifts all of us in those gloomy winter months. Peggy and Evan have three children- Jason, Tiffany, and little Emily. To add to the chaos, they have two cats and one dog. Their household is quite interesting-lots of action all the time. Peggy's life is full with working about 30 hours a week and being a mom to those great kids. She enjoys singing occasionally in her church's choir. If that isn't enough to keep her busy, she volunteers her time to various organizations to help the underprivileged.

Stacey is a Northwest native and loves all it has to offer. In her travels, she realized that the Northwest is the place for her. We are all happy about that since Stacey's pleasant disposition rubs off on all of us. She has a beautiful 2 ½ year old daughter, Hadley, that keeps her on her toes and is learning to love the outdoors as much as mom. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, camping, boating, hiking, and fishing, but is just as content to stay at home and BBQ with neighbors, work in the yard, or curl up with a good book.

Vella started her dental career in Hawaii back in 1990 with a pedodontist (dentist specializing in children). When Vella returned to Oregon, she worked in a dental office in Canby, and later one in Woodburn. Lastly (we hope), she came to work with us. Vella has extensive experience and has learned many things over her 13 years in dentistry. She is continually taking classes with a dental emphasis ranging from computer software to communication. Vella has been with us since 2001.

Personal
Vella and her husband, Greg, married on Kauai in 1989 and spent the next 4 years of their lives there. Eventually, they decided to trade sun for rain, and moved back to Oregon. Shortly after they returned, they started their family with Samantha and a few years later completed it with their son Rayce. Things got really crazy when their dog "Doc", cats "Cindy" & " Stardust" and finally an adopted turtle named "Kelli" came into the picture. Vella says she enjoys working with people in the dental setting and likes that she is always learning something new. Vella also enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family. Vella recently explained to Greg that her shopping is really starting to pay off with the air miles from her credit card. Greg is not sure about this, and neither are we. We're just glad she doesn't have an office credit card. Whew!
